The simple statement above is our creed. Chess is enjoyable at any level, from a friendly game between friends to serious match play for a World Championship. Chess is also one of the few sports where age and gender mix freely in equal competition. Chess ability is not restricted to any physical criteria, good moves are good moves and winning and losing comes down to who plays the better game. It is possible that the best player in the country could lose a game to any other player in the country, and under the conditions with which chess tournaments are conducted, you could indeed have that opportunity at an upcoming weekend event. Blayney is a town of 3100 people living in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia. With all the convenience of a larger town with the hospitality of a small country town, Blayney is one of Australia's community gems. Conveniently located to the nearby major cities of Bathurst, Orange and Cowra. It has its own thriving industries, primarily rural and mining based, with some exceptions. Another feature of the area is its proud sporting heritage with Blayney often batting at a level well beyond expectations.
