Some
Background on our Membership
Like all Chess
Clubs, we welcome members from anywhere. Currently our players
list includes three people from Orange, one person from Woodstock,
and two fellows from Cowra. Sadly the travel involved precludes
them from being at the club as often as they, or we, would like,
but it is great when they can get here. They make the
effort to be on hand for major events and are valued
contributors to our club. Our local playing contingent comprises
all ages and all levels of players, no one should be afraid of
not getting a game against a comparable opponent at Blayney,
though titled players may be a trifle disappointed in the lack
of opposition for them!
We steadfastly hold to Blayney's proud
tradition of playing well above what the size of the town
suggests. Just ask anyone from the nearby major towns of how
hard it is to beat Blayney! |
